The first thing you realize in winter is that you’re in one of the most beautiful, and secluded, glacier-made valleys anywhere. Now imagine cross- country skiing along gently groomed trails on untouched fresh snow in solitude. More adventurous? Take an invigorating snowmobile ride up the valley walls to the plateaus of the Alleghenies. More romantic? Ice-skate on Skipper Lake with s’mores and a camp-fire or snow-shoe on our 18 miles of marked trails.
Bring your own Nordic skis and gear or use ours. We can completely outfit your entire group or family. And while some of our guests prefer to explore on their own, we do offer guides who can instruct and often point out some of Glendorn’ s more interesting, and hidden secrets.
Perhaps the only activity you want to do is retreat to your cabin in front of your wood burning fireplace and only venture out to the Dining Room to savor the exquisite cuisine of Chef Katelyn Steffan accompanied by fine wines.
Winter at the Glendorn is definitely our best kept secret season. And the one worth experiencing.
Our Winter Retreat package is offered to give you a sampling of Glendorn in winter.
