WHITETAIL DEER
Whitetail Deer at Glendorn
Until 2008 whitetail deer season was closed to guest hunters and was by invitation only. Now the fall 2008 Glendorn guests are invited to take part in early season muzzleloader, archery, rifle and second season archery/black powder hunting packages. These packages are listed below.
In spring 2008 Glendorn activities staff will be breaking soil and planting food plots as well as hunting plots. These plots will nourish does while lactating for better fawn development, give bucks nutrition during antler development and fall winter crops to graze and store fat for the long Northwestern Pennsylvania winters.
Glendorn's 1300 acres estate has prime whitetail cover ranging from thick bedding and deer safety areas, ridges, draws, creek beds, forest openings, old logging roads, oak stands, old apple orchards and other ranges of prime whitetail habitat.
Activities staff will strategically place tower, ladder and hanging stands in areas to put the Glendorn hunter in the best positions to harvest a whitetail, taking in consideration wind, weather and deer movement.
Just like whitetail season in Pennsylvania, make Glendorn your family deer hunting get away.
