UPLAND BIRDS & DRIVEN PHEASANT

Pennsylvania Licensed Game Bird Preserve

  • Guides are trained in safety and required to have good person and dog handling skills.
  • On-site skeet and trap range for warm up and safety lesson before hunts.
  • Season: First Saturday in September to the First Saturday in April.  No Sunday Hunting.
  • Ruffed Grouse season:  Refer to Pennsylvania Game Commission Rules and Regulations.

On-Property Upland Hunts

  • Not a typical open field hunt like you would find in the central states.
  • Open woodlands with cuts of native grasses.
  • Wooded areas with thick stands of saplings.
  • Open areas with small food plots.
  • Annual stockings of Pheasant, Chukar, and Quail.
  • Native Ruffed Grouse. (Requires a Pennsylvania Small Game Hunting License)
  • Day of hunt released birds.
  • Pointing Dogs, or bring your own.
  • 2-3 hour hunts, organized for the afternoon, mornings or both.
  • Limit two hunters per field per outing. 
  • Additional hunters will need to hunt in separate fields.Over under and Side by Side shotguns only.
  • Guns Available for use.
  • All ammo is supplied by Glendorn. No outside ammo.
  • Lunch served in the field or at the Lodge.

On-Property Driven Pheasant

  • Four to Six Bunkers.
  • Pheasants Driven off Preserve area down to the bunkers.
  • Open wooded area.
  • Stands will be rotated amongst shooters periodically throughout the hunt.
  • Each shooter will have time at each stand.
  • Minimum 50 pheasant per shooter.

Bird Processing

  • All birds will be tagged for travel regardless of field dressing.
  • Lodge guests can have the birds prepared for a dinner course.
  • Plucking and packaging available at additional fee.
