Glendorn’s closest major town is Bradford, Pennsylvania. This small town offers several attractions for guests looking to explore beyond our resort’s 1,500 acres. The local area also includes the following major attractions:

Allegheny National Forest

The majestic Allegheny National Forest surrounds Glendorn and offers visitors over 513,000 acres of recreational fun. It is one of Northwest Pennsylvania’s most visited national forests. It has an extensive trail system both in summer and winter. Trail highlights include Jakes Rocks, Marilla Reservoir, and Willow Bay.

Allegany State Park

Just a short drive away, find Allegany State Park. It offers miles of paved bike paths, boat and bike rentals, a sandy beach for swimming, fishing and snowmobiling. Don’t miss Thunder Rocks, an impressive bedrock city that allows for the nature lover to see the hidden beauty that this park is known for. The Stone Tower structure shows vistas of the rolling hills of mature forests. The many beaver ponds are a prime place to observe the diversity of wildlife located in the park.

Ellicottville, New York

If you are planning a trip to Ellicottville, you know you are heading to a destination full of ski resorts, beautiful sights, and other great outdoor activities. People flock to Ellicottville from all over for its skiing, and HoliMont Ski Resort is the largest private ski resort in North America. The nearby Holiday Valley offers cross country skiing in addition to its downhill slopes.  Griffis Sculpture Park is considered a hidden gem of the area, with 250 statues placed among peaceful nature trails it makes for a fun-filled family adventure.

Bradford Creative & Performing Arts Center

Since its founding, one of BCPAC’s goals is not only to present professional artists and performing troupes from outside the area, but also to showcase, when possible, talented artists and performers from or living in Bradford.

The Chautauqua Institution

Chautauqua Institution is a community on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in southwestern New York State that comes alive each summer with a unique mix of fine and performing arts, lectures, interfaith worship and programs, and recreational activities. Over the course of nine weeks, more than 100,000 visitors will stay at Chautauqua and participate in programs, classes and community events for all ages—all within the beautiful setting of a historic lakeside village.

Artworks at the Depot & Flickerwood Winery Cellars

Located in nearby Kane, Pennsylvania, the Artworks at the Depot is an artist-run cooperative with a gallery and store located in the restored 1873 Railroad Depot showcasing watercolors, oil paintings, photography, pottery, and woodworking from area artists as well as locally manufactured Holgate Toys.  Nearby is the family-operated Flickerwood Winery, which offers tastings of their line of 21 table wines.

The Westline Inn Restaurant

Off the beaten path, this historic inn features an eclectic interior of mounted animals, area artifacts and artwork by local artists. The inn specializes in gourmet dining with a French preparation all served in a casual setting.
