CEREMONY SITES
The following locations are recommended for your wedding ceremony. Please note that several of these venues are outdoors and should an inclement weather plan.
Big House
The focal point of our luxury resort, the Big House offers several locations for wedding ceremonies that can accommodate up to 35 guests.
Bondieu Lake
The glorious backdrop of Bondieu Lake is perfect for a summer or early fall outdoor ceremony. Up to 35 guests.
Roost Courtyard
Built in 1939 and located within view of the Big House, the intimate Roost Courtyard can host up to 30 guests.
Hideout
One of our more intimate cabin-style accommodations, the large terrace at Hideout can accommodate up to 30 guests.
Reception Venues
Big House Courtyard
Our Big House courtyard is ideal for outdoor receptions. The area may be tented to accommodate any weather. Accommodates up to 35 guests.
Roost Courtyard
The Roost courtyard is an ideal location for a wedding ceremony or reception. The lush floral landscaping makes this space particularly scenic in the spring and fall. Accommodates up to 30 guests.
Big House Terrace
The Big House Terrace can be combined with the Big House courtyard. Tall windows offer views of Glendorn’s backyard, 1,500 acres of Mother Nature at its best. In cooler seasons, the sound and smell from the massive wood burning fireplace truly makes the Dining Room ideal for receptions and dinners.
Big House
Glendorn’s main Dining Room boasts a Great Hall with a two story sandstone fireplace as its backdrop. Tables are dressed in crisp, ivory damask linen, fine china and crystal. Fresh, seasonal flower arrangements enhance the depth of this historic property. The main dining room can accommodate up to 35 guests.
Sun Porch
The Big House’s scenic sun porch is an ideal space for an intimate rehearsal dinner or a small reception of up to 30 guests.
Hideout
This stone and brick cottage, one our most popular cabins, is also available as an event venue. Surrounded by hardwood forest and resting atop one of Glendorn’s many scenic hills, Hideout’s terrace features a large fireplace and a gorgeous backdrop of Pennsylvania’s magnificent Allegheny National Forest. Hideout can accommodate up to 30 for events.
Skipper Lake
Perfect for a post-reception or post-dinner treat, our team can arrange for s’mores and champagne on our scenic Skipper Lake. This popular add-on can be paired with one of our event venues or utilized as a standalone reception space for up to 25 guests.
