Fall at The Lodge at Glendorn
September 7, 2016
Fresh-pressed apple cider. Wagon rides. Pumpkin carving. All this with the backdrop of nature’s best annual show of color changes among the foliage. These are just a few of our favorite things during the Fall season at Glendorn.
The culinary team adapt the menu to include a few more warm, comfort foods, enhanced by the bounty of the autumnal harvest.
As the days get shorter, and the nights notably longer, the wood, as always, will be well-stacked for the fireplaces in the cabins and suites, so that guests may easily go from cool, crisp air to the mode of cozy.
In the Fall, we also add some special events to the calendar, and we’ll soon be announcing our culinary series. Of course, the regular robust roster of activities is still in play. From fishing to trap and skeet, hunting and more. Naturally, even biking and hiking become extra-colorful experiences at this time of year. Massage and other treatments at the spa are a welcome treat from an active day. Let’s not forget, our signature Saturday night activity of “bonfiring” (yes, it’s a verb at Glendorn), with cold brews and s’mores, under the night sky filled with stars.
While every season has its highlights, Fall at Glendorn is definitely a favorite for many.
