The appreciation of the region’s pristine woods, trout-rich streams and ?ltered sunlight piercing the dense forest canopy would result in many beautiful landscapes paintings which soon became known as the “Scalp Level.” The walls of Glendorn celebrate many of these works. In addition, the collection honors the love of sport and nature evident with paintings, lithographs and bronze sculptures by noted nineteenth and twentieth century artists. The common thread is the beauty and the bounty of the land.
